wives’ retreat is the highlight of the year for me personally, for my personal
growth. It is almost the only place (here at the Haven) where I have space and
time to look deeply at my heart and to find that “unlikely path to Joy” through

"A wonderful
respite coming together for fellowship and personal enrichment—It brings a
heightened sensitivity to the realization each of us carries hurts, pain,
challenges along with our joys and celebrations—God is so good and we can have a
reflection of that goodness in our fellow travelers. I find it difficult to
think af any area to improve. It is superior to me in all areas—the lodging,
environment and food are wonderful—Praise God for a ministry that I wish would
have been available to me earlier in our ministry—Jane was so enriching and
Caroline reinforcing the whole theme.

a blessing. A time of rest. So wonderful to know that we share similar struggles
and can draw encouragement from one another. Our prayer time was so rich. The
presence of the Lord is so evident here, even as you turn into the driveway. God
has used His precious servants, Carolyn & Suzie & Jane to speak to my heart.
