Paula Dean, esthetician: Paula’s desire to support Christian leaders with her gifts will bless this retreat.  She comes to us from her business, A Spa in the City, which was formerly located near an exclusive area of Dallas before relocating this spring to Fredericksburg.   Her career spans 30 years in the beauty industry as an Esthetician, Massage Therapist,  Beauty and Camouflage Make-Up Artist, and Massage Therapy Instructor.  She’s taught in world class spas in the US and Canada, and co-authored textbooks for training Estheticians. Trade magazines have praised her as a “legend”  and her facials as “fabulous” (Town & Country Nov 2006). People magazine featured her work with burned children at Camp Janus Burn Camp. This experienced and well-esteemed lady will give you professional and pleasant treatment that will leave you wanting more!

Suzanne Ellison Ramsay, MD ... a family physician for 27 years with a special interest in preventive care. Knowing how hard lifestyle changes are, she says, “The best way to help folks change has been to spend extra time focusing with them on all aspects of health ...physical, for sure, but also mental, emotional and spiritual. And those take more time. And it’s worth it. “My patients don’t want more pills. They want hope of healing. I love to see the hope that people get from changes in diet and exercise. It is never too late to start feeling better and slow down that aging process.” She and husband, John Ramsay MD, have five children … and shedding 50 pounds five times, has taught her a lot about the interplay between stress, chaotic emotions, food choices and what God has to do with it!
